Wedding Announcement Card Wording
Announcement cards are most often sent after a wedding if there were no wedding invitations mailed. They are often sent to friends and relatives who live at too great a distance to be present at the wedding ceremony, and are traditionally mailed the day of the wedding.
They do not require an acknowledgment though it is customary to send either a note expressing best wishes or a gift.
This is the customary style for the announcement card:
